The Program: Case Study

Employee surveys based on the STOP-Bang questionnaire were sent to Shift Workers to gather data on snoring, breathing pauses, and comorbidities such as hypertension and diabetes.

Thirty-three candidates were selected and attended a 45-minute education session to learn about sleep.  They also received practical tools for better sleep, along with an at-home sleep study device to screen for Sleep Apnea.

Results from the sleep studies were interpreted by a board-certified Sleep physician, followed by virtual appointments with our Care Team to review results and to discuss options for care.

Thirteen out of 29 participants opted for treatment after testing. Underscoring how our program effectively identifies and addresses sleep health issues in the workforce.

Beyond testing, all employees were enrolled in sleep education and given shift work kits to help improve their sleep habits.  Participating employees reported using the tools given to them. These tools help address common sleep issues reported.
